The World Is Changing — But the Word of God Remains
If you feel like the ground beneath your feet is shifting, you’re not alone. In just a few short decades, we’ve watched entire societies redefine truth, justice, identity, and even reality itself. What was once taken for granted — family, gender, faith, freedom — is now labeled oppressive. New movements rise, new slogans dominate, and new ideologies demand allegiance.
At the center of this transformation is an idea few Christians fully understand — yet it shapes nearly every cultural conversation today:
Critical Theory
And unless we understand it biblically, we will not stand faithfully.
Why This Series Matters Right Now
Critical Theory is not just an academic theory. It is a comprehensive worldview — a counterfeit gospel — reshaping hearts, minds, churches, and nations. Even more, Critical Theory is a key part of a deeper, older, spiritual conflict:
It is preparing the world for end-times rebellion against God.
That may sound dramatic. But when you trace the biblical storyline — from Genesis to Revelation — the picture becomes unmistakably clear:
- Deconstruction of truth
- Redefinition of identity
- Celebration of rebellion
- Global convergence around false unity
These are not random cultural shifts. They are the signs of a deeper spiritual preparation for the final chapters of history — and the return of the true King.
What This Blog Series Will Cover
Over the next seven posts, we’ll walk carefully but boldly through:
- The rise of Critical Theory — its history, ideas, and hidden assumptions
- How it deconstructs truth and prepares people for deception
- Why it is not merely intellectual error but spiritual warfare
- How it paves the way for the end-times rebellion foretold in Scripture
- What it means for globalism, morality, justice, and freedom
- How Christians must respond: thinking biblically, standing courageously, loving compassionately
- Why our ultimate hope is not reclaiming cultural influence — but rejoicing in the certain victory of Jesus Christ
Each post will offer deep biblical analysis, practical strategies, pastoral encouragement, and reflection questions to help you engage faithfully in your everyday life.
A Personal Word: Why I Wrote This Series
I didn’t write this series to stir fear.
I wrote it to stir faith.
I believe we are called to be torchbearers — men and women who carry the light of Christ into the tunnels of cultural collapse, refusing to be overcome by darkness.
The apostle Paul wrote:
“Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 15:58, LSB)
That is my prayer for you — and for all of us — as we walk into the challenges and opportunities of our day.
Follow Along and Stand Firm
I invite you to read each part of this series prayerfully, thoughtfully, and courageously.
📖 Start here with Part 1: The Rise of Critical Theory — A New Gospel for a Broken World?
May God strengthen us to live faithfully —
- In a truthless age, to be truth-tellers.
- In a rebellious world, to be faithful servants.
- In a collapsing kingdom, to proclaim the coming King.
The night is dark.
But the sunrise is near.
Let’s walk forward together.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Chris Reighley
